What
is a fitness assessment?
We would encourage you to start your fitness program by having
a fitness assessment. Your assessment will comprise a brief
lifestyle analysis, and checks on blood pressure, heart rate
levels, lung efficiency, body fat percentage, aerobic fitness
and flexibility.
Why
should I have a fitness assessment?
Though not obligatory, it will give you the opportunity to
discuss your aims and objectives with your fitness adviser.
This confidential chat will ease any preconceptions and concerns
you may have about joining a gym. Fitness assessments enable
us to assess your current level of fitness and design a personal
programme for you.
Will
I be re-assessed?
Reassessments are generally carried out every 20 sessions
or three months, enabling you to see how your fitness is improving
and enabling us to monitor and progress your personal programmes
at a safe and controlled level.
How
much will it cost me?
Assessments are inclusive of membership to Wilburs and act
as a great motivator in anyone's fitness programmes. They
are also available to non-members, so if you know anyone who
wants healthier lifestyle, this may be the stepping-stone
they require!
What
about a program?
We will design a program to reflect your personal aims, objectives
and lifestyle. Be that general fitness for everyday life,
training for a particular sport or event, or recuperating
from illness or injury. Do not be put off by the usual excuses
- time limits, frequency of visits, ability or lack of fitness
- programmes can allow for these. ..................Continued
