Do you cater for absolute beginners?
Yes, in fact at least 50% of our new members are absolute beginners. Not only will you find yourself amongst lots of like-minded people, trying to get in shape and stay in shape, but you will also find us on hand to help you out when you need us.

How often will I need to visit the gym to benefit my health?
Every visit makes a difference to your health and how you feel - particularly when combined with healthy eating habits - leading to a more active life style. Where possible try to schedule regular visits of a lesser duration than the occasional very long, strenuous session. We recommend 2-3 visits per week for general fitness gains - though this does depend on the individual.

Am I too old to use a gym?
You are never too old to use a gym. We can adapt your program to suit your current aims and abilities. If you are worried that you have not done any exercise for a long time we will ease you in to it slowly and gently.

Am I too unfit to use a gym?
You do not have to be fit to use a gym; you use a gym to get fit!!!

Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
Yes. We want you to use the equipment safely and effectively so your first session in the gym is spent with one of us showing you the correct technique and advising you on the set up of each piece of equipment. After this session we are always available to discuss any difficulties or to show you through the equipment again. See Just starting

What should I wear to work out?
Most importantly you must be comfortable. A T-shirt, shorts or jogging bottoms are ideal. Trainers are necessary and unfortunately no footwear -no workout.
